Born in Boston in 1942, Jay Sewall is 20 years old when he discovers the blues in Montreal at a John Hammond Jr. concert.
That’s when his journey as a bluesman begins. He travels the world and plays with many of his heroes,
especially in Chicago and New Orleans. It is with passion that Jay now teaches guitar and harmonica in the local
community. Always active, Jay recently received the Lys Blues Lifetime Achievement Award 2008 in Quebec, and has just
completed the recording of his fifth album with Grammy Nominee and Juno Award winner, Ken Whiteley in Toronto.
